In short
bashrock.com uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and loads nothing from other companies’ servers. It stores only what it needs to work and to remember choices you make. Because all of it is either strictly necessary or set at your request, we don’t ask for consent with a banner.
What the site stores
bashrock_clearance (cookie)
- Purpose: shows that your browser has passed our security check, so you aren’t asked again on every page.
- When: only while the site is under attack or after your connection has been flagged, once your browser completes the check.
- Lasts: 30 minutes.
- Kind: strictly necessary, for security.
NEXT_LOCALE (cookie)
- Purpose: remembers the language you chose in the language menu.
- When: when you choose a language.
- Lasts: one year.
- Kind: functional, set at your request.
theme (local storage)
- Purpose: remembers whether you chose the light or the dark theme.
- When: when you switch theme.
- Lasts: until you clear the site’s data in your browser.
- Kind: functional, set at your request. It stays in your browser and is never sent to us.
None of these hold personal details, and none are shared with anyone. People who sign in to our content management system also get a session cookie (payload-token); visitors never do.
Managing them
You can delete or block cookies and site data in your browser’s settings. The site still works without them: you’ll just need to choose your language and theme again, and you may see the security check more often while it is active.
Changes
If we ever add a cookie that isn’t strictly necessary, we’ll ask for your consent first and update this notice.
